Pseudomelanosis of the Upper GI Tract:

A benign pigmentation disorder usually seen in the colon. This patient had gastric and duodenal pseudomelanosis seen on EGD. Traditionally laxative use such as senna is linked to this finding in the colon. It is a rare finding in the upper GI tract and has been associated with ESRD, Iron supplementation and GI bleeding.
