Gastric Neuroendocrine Tumor Type 1
Gastric neuroendocrine tumors are a subset of tumors with 3 distinct types(1-3). Each type has different characteristics and associations with other conditions. Below is an image of a GNET Type 1. Type1 GNETs are associated with atrophic gastritis and pernicious anemia. They are the least aggressive of the 3 types and on EGD appear as 5-8mm polyps with a central depression.
